Concert belongs to the 12th International Music Festival GUITAR ACROSS STYLES Atrium, Čajkovského 12, Prague 3

Norbi Kovács came to live in Prague in 1992 from Slovakia, where he got his first musical experiences. In Prague he played with many musical groups (for example Stará cesta, Red Wine, Plazma and others) and cooperated with different Czech musical personalities (for example with a songster Radůza). He is a member of the group Lokomotiva (which was for 6 years involved  in a TV show S politiky netančím to create the  musical background) and Růžový brejle (co-founder together with singer Ivan Hlas). He composes music for movies and theatre performances as well. He taught the guitar at the rock school of a famous Prague musical club Mlejn for 10 years.

Stanislav Barek and Adib Ghali graduated from the Prague conservatory (under Professors Arnošt Sádlík and Milan Zelenka). They have been performing together since 1989 and their main specialty is ragtime and its various interpretations. They recorded two CDs together: Ragtime Guitar a jiné speciality (Ragtime Guitar and other Specialties) (1992) and Beatlemaniarag-Ragtime Guitar II (1996). The author of most arrangements of well-known compositions for two guitars on these CDs is Adib Ghali. The second mentioned CD was released in 2002 in the UK by the prestigious label Prestige Elite Records Limited. Barek & Ghali perform mainly in the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. Their concert will be special in that it will feature three amateur guitarists – Jan Müller, Karel Hitzger and Karel Růžička – who have perfected their play to a professional standard.
