Michal Pavlík and TAKNATUDU (CZ)

26. 10. 2011 08:00

The concert takes place within the 14th International Music Festival GUITAR ACROSS STYLES KD Kaštan, Praha 6

Multi-instrumentalist Michal Pavlík studied classical violoncello at the Prague Conservatory with Professor František Pišinger and jazz & rock with Karel Velebný. It was primarily as a keyboardist that he had the opportunity to work with leading singers and bands of the rock and pop scene, namely Jana Kratochvílová, Luboš Pospíšil, Vítkovo kvarteto, Petr Novák and others. He co-founded Čechomor, where he plays the violoncello and bagpipes.

The rock quartet TAKNATUDU came into being during 2006. Its goal is to play art-influenced music without self-imposed limits of genre and period. Its style cannot be classified easily; it draws on both contemporary trends and musical influences of yesteryear. The songs are intended for musically open listeners of all ages and go down well with music club audiences and a more mature festival crowd.
